A total of 1,680 kilos of fish with an estimated value of Php 124,000 pesos were distributed to Mayon evacuees in Albay and a charitable institution in Naga City after being confiscated from several commercial fishing vessels caught illegally operating during a seaborne operation in municipal waters of Pasacao, Tinambac and Calabanga Camarines Sur recently.

The confiscated catch of galunggong, dilis and tamban were distributed to a total of 3,843 evacuees in the following evacuation centers:

Meanwhile, an approximate of 60 kilos of dilis and tamban were given to the Missionaries of Charity Gift of Love in Naga City.

The distribution was made part of the Relief Operation of the Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) where the Provincial Agriculture Office has requested for fish and fishery products from BFAR through a letter, for distribution to the Mayon evacuees.
