As part of BFAR Bikol’s participation to the 450th Founding Anniversary of Libon, Albay, 50,000 pieces tilapia fingerlings were dispersed at Bacolod River which was jointly led by Regional Director Ariel U. Pioquinto and Honorable Mayor Wilfredo Maronilla on July 4, 2023.

An opening program was held where RD Pioquinto delivered a message of support to the fisheries undertakings and collaborative activities of the local government unit. Mayor Maronilla expressed his gratefulness to BFAR 5 for the full support and participation in their foundation celebration.

Banca racing competition was also part of the highlights of the lined-up activities where fisherfolk from barangays Sta. Cruz, Nugpo and Boga actively joined.
