It’s an immense honor to receive the set of HDPE Marine Fish Cage. Our respectful gratitude to BFAR 5 and the LGU Sagnay.” Marisse San Felipe, one of the association officers, shared.

SAFFDA Inc., is one of BFAR Bikol’s beneficiaries of the Climate-Resilient Technology Demonstration and High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Marine Fish Cage project worth 1M awarded late last year that aims to provide supplemental livelihood and increase bangus production in the region.

BFAR’s implementation of climate-resilient interventions like the HDPE fish cages is a strategy to sustain fisheries production especially in areas prone to typhoons like the Bicol region.
